61st annual UNL Rodeo features contestants from across the Midwest

Hundreds of people came out to the Lancaster Event Center for the 61st annual UNL Rodeo Show.

“The hometown rodeo is one that you’ve gotta take a lot of pride in,” said Senior UNL Rodeo member Trevor Ginkens.

College athletes competed against each other, some hailing from other states in the Midwest.

Contestants were from Nebraska, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Iowa and Minnesota. 

The winners move on to represent their school at the college national rodeo finals held in Casper, Wyoming.
