One death confirmed in Southwest Nebraska wildfires
Wildfires are still active in at least 5 counties.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska Emergency Management Agency has confirmed one fatality in connection with the fires in Southwest Nebraska on Saturday.
In a press release, NEMA reported that there has been one death and three firefighter injuries.
The name of the victim and location of the fatality have not yet been released.
They also stated that a State Emergency Operations Center and a Complex Incident Management Team were activated to help respond to the fires.
Saturday morning, a FEMA grant was approved for Nebraska. This grant will provide financial assistance for response costs directly associated with the wildfires.
