Drivers in deadly south Lincoln crash identified
Both are from the city
WEDNESDAY UPDATE – The drivers have been identified as 39-year-old Noriza Perez-Perez and 57-year-old Haroon Sediqi, both of Lincoln.
The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office tells us Sediqi was the driver who died.
Perez-Perez is still expected to recover.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – UPDATE: Two vehicles were involved in a fatality crash on Tuesday near the intersection of 70th and Revere Lane in south Lincoln.
According to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, the two vehicles were traveling in opposite directions on 70th Street and collided head-on.
The driver of one vehicle was transported to Bryan Health with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening, the sheriff said. The other driver was also transported to Bryan Health, where they were pronounced dead.
At this time, alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash. A seat belt was in use by the surviving driver in the crash; the deceased driver was not using a seat belt.
The Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Team responded to the scene and is continuing to investigate the details of the crash. Roads are expected to remain closed until later this evening.
The Sheriff’s Office, Lincoln Police Department, Lincoln Fire and Rescue, Hickman Fire and Rescue, and Southeast Fire and Rescue all responded to the crash.

Multiple crews responded to a serious traffic collision near 70th Street and Pine Lake Road around 1:20 p.m.
While crews responded to the scene of the crash, roads continue to be blocked off in both directions.
At this time, no details on the collision have been confirmed. StarCare also responded to the scene. There is no update on any driver or passenger injuries.
