Lincoln Public Schools holds boot camp for student-teachers

The next generation of teachers had some fun at the LPS Boot Camp on Friday.
The boot camp provides students getting ready to graduate with first hand knowledge of the teacher interview process, including tips and fun exercises.
Students had to give their elevator pitch to a cardboard cut out of LPS Superintendent Steve Joel.
About 200 students teachers were in attendance today.
“This is the highlight of what we do. Bringing the top talent to the district and having them make such an impact for our students in the school district. Everyone is really excited, there is a great buzz in the air,” said Nicole Regan, Director of Recruitment for LPS.
LPS says it’s a great opportunity to kick off recruitment.
Their goal is to help the students land their dream job out of school.
