Multi-vehicle accident at 56th & R street intersection

Roads are still very wet and slick out there… a multiple vehicle accident occurred near 56th and R street on Sunday night.

It happened just after 8pm.

Two cars collided with each other at the intersection.

One of the cars veered into the front lawn of a Lincoln homeowner, coming just short of the front door.

Lincoln Fire and Rescue and Lincoln Police responded to the call.

“We were dispatched to a multiple vehicle accident near 56th and R street with a vehicle possibly involved with hitting a home. There was no damage to the home… There were two vehicles involved in the accident… There were multiple people involved with no life threatening injuries,” said Ryan Moser, LFR Fire Captain.

Crews worked to get the car out of the front lawn of the home…

Officials wants to remind people to slow down on the roads.
