Multiple Lincoln street closures delayed by wet weather

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lincoln Transportation and Utilities Department announced that multiple street closures that were scheduled to begin on Tuesday have been rescheduled due to wet conditions.
The closures are now scheduled to begin Tuesday, May 17. The following streets will temporarily be closed:
- Tuesday, May 17, and Wednesday, May 18, – West South Street between South First and Southwest Fifth streets will be closed while Black Hills Energy repairs a gas main at the Salt Creek Bridge. The Salt Creek Levee Trail will remain open.
- Tuesday, May 17, through Thursday, May 19, West A and South Folsom Street roundabout detour will change due to utility work on West South Street. West A Street traffic should use South Ninth Street, and South Folsom Street traffic is encouraged to use Rosa Parks Way. Sidewalks in the area will remain closed, and the StarTran Route 51-West A bus stops in the area will not run during this time.
Digital signs will alert travelers to the upcoming closures, according to the city.
