Husker fans react to the Scott Frost debut as head coach

The Scott frost era finally kicked off today in Lincoln, and the game came right down to the wire.
One penalty on the defense really seemed to cost the team late in the game.
On the field fans were impressed by the new look offense, and the play of freshman QB Adrian Martinez.
Last weeks rain out did seem to have an early impact on the team, as they found themselves down 14–0 early on.
Fans say not being able to play in a first game to shake out the rust was a factor in the game today, but the competitive nature of the team was a welcomed sight.
It was a tightly contested, fun game that had fans on the edge of their seats throughout.
And it was only game number one of the season.
One thing that fans brought up often was the fact that it takes time to turn a major program around.
Be patient husker fans, today was the dawning of a new era.
