Lincoln hotel hosts Keystone XL Pipeline public meeting

On Tuesday, the Lincoln Cornhusker Hotel hosted a public meeting concerning the environmental impact statement for the keystone XL pipeline.

The public forum allowed people to speak their mind about the latest version of the environmental impact statement.

As of now, Transcanada remains committed to moving ahead with the pipeline, but doesn’t plan on starting construction until 2019.

On Tuesday, the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce, as well as the state firefighters association announced their support for the project to go forward.
