UPDATE, Thursday (6/16/22) — The Seward Walmart will be closing for a second straight day today, after the location suffered storm damage earlier this week.
Officials posted an apology on Facebook, saying they’re still cleaning up the mess left behind.
Right now there’s no estimate as to when the store will reopen.
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Seward Walmart was clobbered by overnight storms.
When Channel 8 crews arrived Wednesday morning, planters were smashed to pieces across the parking lot.
Dirt and the plants themselves were also all over the place.
Parts of the sign above the doorway had been twisted around as well, while some were blown off altogether.
Walmart said the main store would be closed for cleanup on Wednesday, but the pharmacy would open for curbside business at noon.
Our crew saw food being brought in for those workers as they sorted out the big mess left behind.
