Husker fans react to first win of the season

Husker fans are rejoicing tonight!
The team finally put it all together in what was the Huskers most complete performance of the season, defeating Big Ten West rival Minnesota, 53-28.
Fans loved being able to witness win number one of the Frost era at home.
“Having that really strong start right in the beginning of the game really set the standard for the whole first half. I think the energy was really electric in there, people were really excited,” said Julie Bridde.
The season to date has been disappointing, but the team has shown promise of late.
Fans say it’s all a part of installing a new system and finding out who is willing to buy in.
“When you’re sick you gotta puke first to get it all out and I think we’ve had that, and so I think finally we have made enough of those mistakes to really figure out that this thing really is going in the right direction and the players, the fans, everyone has bought in at this point. I think finally they are starting to figure out that if they work together, limit the mistakes, they truly can win together as a team,” said Paul Warner.
During Saturday’s game, the Huskers started off on fire, going up 28-0 before Minnesota knew what had happened.
Fans say they are thrilled to see it all coming together.
“Everything was working for them actually. We didn’t drop a ball, we threw good passes and everyone was there on defense. The whole stadium was yelling the whole time we were on defense,” said Chelsea Hahn.
The Huskers will host Bethune-Cookman next Saturday before traveling to Columbus, Ohio to take on the Buckeyes of Ohio State.
