Lincoln man taken to hospital after car swerves into ditch

A Lincoln man was taken to the hospital Friday night after a single car driver swerved into a ditch near the intersection of Nance Ave and North 2nd street.

Witnesses say the man was wearing a neck brace as he was taken to the hospital.

Multiple people who witnessed the accident say the driver wears a leg brace himself, they say he was stuck on the gas pedal and wasn’t able to stop himself, which is why he opted to swerve into the ditch.
