Husker fans react to win over Michigan State

Saturday was a memorable Senior Day at Memorial Stadium as the Cornhuskers rallied and won late thanks to an unlikely hero.
The Huskers were down until the fourth quarter, when they mounted a comeback thanks to a trio of field goals by unlikely hero Barrett Pickering.
“The kicking, the special teams… They played amazing, and the atmosphere was pure Nebraska football; the snow, the cold, everyone weathered the storm and came out and cheered loud and we won, we got em,” said Jacki Anthony.
The second half comeback wouldn’t have been made possible without a tremendous performance from the husker defense, which held Michigan State to just 6 points.
For the 19 seniors who played their last game at Memorial Stadium, fans were appreciative of all the hard work over the years.
“I thought it was an awesome senior day, it was a lot different than the last few seniors days around here it felt different and the snow made it pretty cool,” said Kurtis Kannerer.
The Huskers will finish the season next week when they travel to Iowa City to take on the Hawkeyes on Black Friday.
