Last minute holiday shoppers rush to buy gifts days before Christmas

The countdown to Christmas is now just three days away… There is still a lot of people out doing some last minute shopping.
Southpointe Pavilions in Lincoln was buzzing as many shoppers were out enjoying the nice weather Saturday.
For some, it’s a time to buy all of those last second gifts to put under the tree.
One family embraces coming out at the last possible moment.
“Every year we go out and it’s a tradition for us to shop at the last minute usually for my mom and for their brothers,” said Lindsey Turner.
Each year, there are products everyone wants, but for some, it’s hard to beat the classics.
“Jewelry is always nice, right? Gift cards, I think we are looking for some jewelry for grandma and some toys for brother, some dinosaurs and some stuffed animals,” said Turner.
“the older I get the more I actually like to get socks, so I do get socks for some people. I am really into any sort of beer related thing so, there’s a great craft beer scene in town now, a few gift certificates and a bottle opener, heck i’m set,” said Andrew Rasmussen.
Many UNL students were also out shopping, they say it is difficult to find time to holiday shop during the busy semester.
“I would honestly be okay with anything, I am a big sweater person, I love sweaters, I love shoes or gift cards so I can pick out whatever I want,” said Rachael Holsteen.
Christmas shopping can be hectic and sometimes even stressful.
At the end of the day, what most of us really want, is the continued health of those who we care most about.
“I always wish for good health and blessings for my family,” said Nicole Hodge.
If there is anyone else looking for Christmas gifts, the clock is ticking… You have three more days left.
