Woman found dead in creek after going missing, Lincoln Police say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – UPDATE: A woman was found dead in southwest Lincoln hours after going missing on Wednesday, officials say.
Crews were dispatched to the area of Salt Creek, but they found the 83-year-old in Beal Slough, at the bottom of a steep embankment near where it empties into the creek.
Police say the woman suffered from memory loss.
The cause of death is unknown, and the investigation is ongoing.

First responders are working to rescue a woman from Salt Creek near First Street and Pioneers Boulevard.
Police were sent to the area after an 83-year-old woman was reported missing by her husband around 8 a.m. on Wednesday.
About an hour later, Lincoln Fire & Rescue crews spotted her.
A Channel 8 reporter at the scene says crews are working to rescue the 83-year-old.
