The nationwide trend is hitting Lincoln. Black Friday is slowly turning into Black Thursday.
“Shoppers want to get out there early, so we’re opening at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday,” Matt Calkins said. Calkins is the store manager at Gordmans. He says it’s happening everywhere because that’s what the customers want.
“People can eat Thanksgiving dinner, then head out to the stores,” he said.
Besides typical gift items, like electronics, he says they’ve stocked up on a Disney favorite.
“Toys, bedding, T-shirts, anything to do with Frozen, we’ve got it,” he said.

- Target – opens at 6 p.m. Thursday
