94-year-old Fremont man dies after being ejected from vehicle
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A 94-year-old Fremont man was killed in a crash on Friday, police say.
Officers responded to the crash around 10:09 a.m. at the intersection of 23rd Street and Luther Road in Fremont.
Charles Wild, 94, was turning left from 23rd onto Luther when he was struck by a westbound vehicle driven by 53-year-old Derek Brown, according to Fremont Police Capt. Kurt Bottorff.
Wild was ejected from his vehicle. First responders took him to Fremont Methodist Health hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Brown’s vehicle also hit 63-year-old Jodi Yount’s vehicle, which was stopped at the south traffic light on Luther Road, Bottorff said.
Yount and Brown were both taken to the hospital for their injuries.
