Lincoln Rotary clubs honor Sampson Construction
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Rotary clubs of Lincoln presented their 29th annual Salute to Business award on Tuesday.
This year, they honored Sampson Construction, which has been in business for 70 years.
The company was recognized for its longevity and for giving back to the community.
Executive Vice President Dan Vokoun said receiving the award is nice, but it’s not what the company does the work for.
“One of the things that we strive really hard to do is just make sure every day, we do the thing that’s right to do,” he said. “And while it’s nice to be recognized for the award, and the achievement, it’s not what we do this for at the end of the day. And the handover, a key to the new building, and to see the owners walk through the front door — that’s really what it’s all about.”
One of the projects Sampson is working on is the new Warhorse Casino near Highway 77 and Denton Road.
And one the company recently completed is the LivRed luxury student apartments in downtown Lincoln.
