Two injured in early morning crash in east Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lincoln Police Department is investigating a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of 70th and O Streets.
According to LPD, the crash happened around 2:16 a.m. Saturday when a white Ford Escape hit the rear of a gray Chevy Malibu.
Lincoln Fire and Rescue had to use equipment to extract the driver of the Malibu, a 27-year-old Lincoln man.
He was then transported to the hospital for life-threatening injuries. According to LPD, the man is in critical condition at this time.
The other driver, a 17-year-old Lincoln teen, was also taken to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
LPD is not releasing the names of the drivers at this time pending further investigation.
