Lincoln hardware stores getting creative and giving back

Ace Hardware is partnering with the Children’s Miracle Network, and getting creative in the process.

Displays can be found at participating hardware stores throughout Lincoln, including a waterfall at 27th & Capital Parkway, and a wishing well at 40th & Old Cheney.

The fundraiser runs from Friday, August 2 to Sunday, August 4, and all proceeds will go to the Children’s Hospital in Omaha, which Ace Hardware is happy to support.

“Oh it’s amazing, we really, really just embrace it, it’s so good for the kids and the hospital, you know they need these funds, that’s how they operate is on donations, and this is one way Ace can give back and try to bring in those donations,” said Brent Applegate, store manager at 27th & Capital Parkway.

Here’s how it works: for a $5 donation, customers get a five gallon bucket that they can fill with items from the store.

Then, all of those items will be 20% off at check out!
