Two arrested for murder in Lincoln woman’s death

On Thursday, Lincoln Police Chief Jeff Bliemeister announced that officials arrested two suspects for first-degree murder in the death of Audrea Craig.

Their names are Ruben Thomas and Jesse Foster.

Bliemeister said investigators collected evidence and video surveillance from both Craig’s home, the neighborhood and the hospital where a third suspect, Martay Green was dropped off and later died.  Bliemeister said with that, they were able to track down the suspects before and after the crime.

Video also showed what happen inside Craig’s home.

“Video surveillance shows that Green forced entry into Craig’s home while armed with a handgun,” Bliemeister said.  “Further investigation and interviews revealed that during the attempted robbery, Craig armed herself and shot Green.”

Police have already said they believe that drugs may have played a role in this targeted act of violence.

They are expected to release even more details in the coming days.
