North Lincoln home ‘uninhabitable’ after fire ravages building, LFR says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A north Lincoln home is “uninhabitable” after flames devastated the building, officials said Monday.

The fire started at a single-story home near 20th Street and Cornhusker Highway around 2:50 p.m.

Lincoln Fire & Rescue spokeswoman Nancy Crist said the house was “fully involved” when crews arrived at the home.

The fire had also spread to a detached garage.

No one was injured in the fire, and the home’s resident will now be relocated.

The cause of the fire and the amount of damage is unknown.

An investigation is ongoing, Crist said.
