A touch cooler; Quickly warming into Easter weekend
Temperatures varied dramatically on Tuesday. Falls City topped out at 92°, Lincoln at 74°, and Kearney at 40°. The system that caused this temperature variation has since passed, and everyone will be on the cooler side of things for Wednesday.
High temperatures will be in the upper-40s to near 50° around Lincoln. We could see a few 50s in some of our southern communities.
While winds were pretty low for much of Tuesday, they picked up by Tuesday night. We expect the wind to remain for much of the day on Wednesday, sustained anywhere from 17-27 mph with some gusts upwards of 35 mph. By Wednesday evening, winds will diminish once again.
The overall weather pattern looks pretty quiet in the coming days. We expect a lot of sunshine too, and temperatures will warm. Highs should reach 60° on Thursday, 70° on Friday, and the middle-70s over Easter weekend.
If you have any Easter weekend plans, the weather will be very mild. There’s a chance to see a few isolated showers on Easter Sunday, but I wouldn’t cancel any outdoor plans just yet. There should be plenty of dry hours to get outside.
