Police hunting for two suspects in south Omaha bank robbery

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Police are investigating after a bank was robbed in south Omaha on Thursday.

The Omaha Police Department says officers were called to First Interstate Bank near 48th and L Streets after noon.

Witnesses told officers that two armed robbers came into the bank, demanded money and took off to the north.

The first suspect is described as a tall and large man wearing a ski mask and gray hoody. He carried a silver handgun.

Witnesses described the second suspect as a tall person with a ski mask and black hoody. This suspect carried a black handgun.

Police did not say if the suspects got away with any money.

The investigation is going, and anonymous tips leading to an arrest could be eligible for a $20,000 reward.
