18-year-old injured in north Omaha shooting, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are investigating after an 18-year-old was shot Thursday in north Omaha.

Police say officers were sent to an area near North 32nd and Lake Streets after a shooting was reported.

When officers arrived, they found “multiple shell casings” near the intersection, according to police.

During an investigation, officers were told that a victim was being treated for a gunshot wound at a nearby hospital.

Police did not disclose the extent of the 18-year-old’s injuries.

An investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call Omaha Crime Stoppers at 402-444-STOP.
