Police identify Lincoln man who died following medical episode, crash

Authorities have identified a man who died after suffering an apparent medical episode that led up to a traffic crash Tuesday morning. 

Lincoln police said 83-year-old Richard Cuddeford, of Lincoln, was pronounced dead at a hospital after he was taken from the crash scene near N 14th and Irving Street. 

According to a police accident report, a witness following Cuddeford reported seeing him swerving several times and leaving his lane before colliding head-on with the other driver.
