Nebraska Community Blood Bank contest for blood donors

Donors at the Nebraska Community Blood Bank from August 1st through 31st will be automatically entered for a chance to win dinner and theater tickets.

The blood bank says the demand for blood is constant, and the supply is not–and summer is an especially tough time for them to maintain a steady supply of blood, with schools on break, families on vacation, and donors missing their regular appointments.

New and repeat donors schools are needd to make a donation and help save a life.

Nearly 100 percent of the blood used by patients in Nebraska hospitals is donated by Nebraska blood donors with the Nebraska Community Blood Bank.

Donors who come in during August will be automatically entered for a chance to win a $150 gift certificate to a Nebraska theater venue of their choosing, as well as a $50 VISA gift card for dinner.
