UPDATE: Lincoln teen arrested after reportedly brutally beating neighbor

UPDATE:
A brutal assault happened in north Lincoln over the weekend.
Lincoln police said a 37–year–old man was mowing his lawn at this home near N. 70th Street and Havelock Avenue Saturday evening, when another man approached him.
“He shut his lawnmower off to see what the man needed and he began assaulting him,” Ofc. Angela Sands said. “It was completely unprovoked.”
LPD said a witness told them she saw 18–year–old Lado Kose punch the man in the face around 100 times.
“The victim was bleeding profusely from lacerations to his face, elbow and leg,” Sands said. “The victim’s right eye was swollen shut and full of blood.”
They said first responders were concerned the victim possibly suffered skull fractures and internal injuries. They were also concerned that it was an unprovoked attack between two men who didn’t know each other.
The attack shocked neighbors.
“We really don’t have it happening in our neighborhood right here, so I was pretty surprised about that,” Bob Evans said.
They describe the victim as a good guy and hope he recovers.
Kose has been charged with first degree assault.
