Lincoln Stars defeat Des Moines in game one of Clark Cup playoffs

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lincoln Stars opened up the 2023 Clark Cup playoffs on Monday night with a 5-2 win over Des Moines in the first round.

The five Stars goals were all scored by different players.

Jack Larrigan opened the scoring with a goal just 2 minutes and 42 seconds into the game.

The Stars stayed hot from there, with goals by Cole Crusberg-Roseen, Tanner Ludtke, Patrick Raftery and Doug Grimes.

It’s a best-of-three series that continues at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday in Lincoln.

The Stars are the No. 3 seed in the USHL West Division.
