Motorcyclist thrown from bike in crash with truck in Omaha, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured Tuesday in a crash in southwest Omaha, police say.

The crash happened around 9:20 p.m. near the intersection of 156th and Berry Streets.

Police said 26-year-old Jonathan Baham, who was driving a dirt bike, struck a pickup truck when he turned left.

Baham was thrown from the motorcycle, which ended up under the truck, according to police.

Shortly after the crash, both vehicles caught fire.  The truck’s occupants were able to get out before it caught fire.

A helicopter took Baham to the Nebraska Medical Center in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
