Five UNL students help update ALLO Fiber’s customer complaint system
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – ALLO Fiber’s customer complaint system received a much-needed update thanks to five University of Nebraska-Lincoln students.
The students worked for eight months toward fully automating the company’s system, cutting response time in half.
Jonathan McHenry, a field supervisor at ALLO, said he learned a lot during the process.
“I learned a lot about the technology side of things that I had never dealt with before,” he said.
Erik Konnath, the team’s development manager, emphasized the importance of teamwork in the project.
“I think that’s of prime importance if you want to get things done, be successful and just have a good time,” he said.
Now with the project finished, McHenry said he underestimated the students.
‘They are ridiculously smart,” he said. “They came to us with a feasible option that seemed to work just fine.”
President and CEO of ALLO Fiber Brad Moline said the company will continue to support students and the Jeffrey S. Raikes School of Computer Science and Management.
