Nebraska volleyball finishes undefeated in Brazil

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Nebraska volleyball team came from behind to knock off the Brazil Military Selection Team on Wednesday.

The Huskers defeated the team, which features current and former national team players, in five sets during the final match of their Brazilian tour.

The Big Red posted a perfect 5-0 record while there.

The Huskers won the first set 25-23 but dropped the second set 27-25 and the third set 25-16.

Trailing for the first time on the Brazil trip, the Huskers regrouped and won the fourth set 25-19, thanks to some big kills by Lindsay Krause down the stretch and an ace by Bergen Reilly to close it out.

In set five, Bekka Allick had an early kill and two blocks to put the Huskers in front 6-2, and Andi Jackson was in on a pair of blocks to lift NU to an 11-6 lead.

A Krause kill earned match point, and a Merritt Beason block ended the match at 15-10 with a solo block.
