Big Ten unveils Nebraska football’s 2024, 2025 conference schedules
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Big Ten announced Nebraska football’s 2024 and 2025 conference schedule on Thursday.
The conference also announced its new football scheduling model, known a
s the “Flex Protect” concept, which protects school’s rivalry games.
Nebraska’s sole protected matchup will be against Iowa, continuing the Black Friday game tradition that began in 2011.
The new model starts in 2024, when the Big Ten grows to 16 members with USC and UCLA, officially ending the divisional era.
The Big Ten will continue to play nine conference games each season. At the end of the season, the top two teams will face off in the Big Ten Championship.
In 2024, Nebraska travels to face UCLA.
The Huskers will host UCLA and travel to play USC in 2025.
