UPDATE: The body of a second-grade school teacher was found under a beaver dam in Saunders County. Foul play not ruled out.

Update: After an autopsy was performed Monday, the Saunders County Sheriff’s Office has ruled the death as a suicide.
Update: The Saunders County Sheriff’s office confirmed the body of a Cedar Bluffs second-grade school teacher was found Sunday evening in rural Saunders County.
52-year-old Tammy Sukstorf of rural Cedar Bluffs wasn’t seen since July 5th at approximately 10:30 P.M. Her vehicle was found a few miles from her home with her personal belongings inside.
The sheriff’s office said her deceased body was discovered under a beaver dam by cadaver dogs. The Sheriff’s office is expected to release more information on Monday and foul play hasn’t been completely ruled out.
The sheriff’s office said there is no danger to public.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Monday.
Law enforcement and friends conducted a search in the area where she disappeared for two days in a row. Cedar Bluffs is about an hour north of Lincoln.

The Saunders County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing/possibly endangered adult.
Friends and family came together on Sunday to search for Sukstorf.
Officials from Saunders County told Channel 8 Eyewitness that the volunteer searches began after the Civil Air Patrol searched the air via drones and helicopters, but found no clues.
Volunteers split up into groups to walk through cornfields between Colon and Cedar Bluffs, Nebraska where Sukstorf’s car was found Saturday.
Neighbors and friends of Sukstorf say that Tammy wouldn’t just walk away. She is a second grade teacher at Cedar Bluffs Elementary School.
