Semi blown onto its side on I-80 as severe weather hits Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Holiday travel was brought to a crawl west of Lincoln on Tuesday after a semi was blown onto its side.

A Channel 8 viewer came across the crash on Interstate 80 near Northwest 48th Street.

She sent in a photo around 7:30 p.m., as severe storms swept through the area.

She said westbound travelers were funneled into a single lane while crews worked to clear this crash.

Authorities have not said if anyone was injured. The Nebraska State Patrol did not return a message seeking comment.

Just last week, there were two crashes involving semis west of the city.
