UPDATE: Witness says she was in Trail’s inner circle, describes cult-like activities

Aubrey Trail, who’s accused of killing Lincoln Woman Sydney Loofe, has chosen once again not to show up to his own murder trial Monday.

This makes the fifth straight day he was not in the courtroom.

FBI investigator Mike Maseth testified Trail told him that two videos had been made the night Sydney disappeared and that she was in one.

“Mr. Trail intimated that there was a video had been made of the sex act between the two unknown females that were supposedly in his apartment,” Maseth said.  “Then there was another video that he discussed, which he referred to as kind of an insurance policy, where he said that Sydney Loofe was filmed agreeing to engage in a sex act with others there.”

Maseth said they never found such a video.

He said during one interview December 2017, Trail began talking about things relating to witchcraft.

“He said ‘witches kill, witches kill,'” Maseth said.  “‘Life for a life and they gain more power when they kill.”

He said investigators found a list in Bailey Boswell’s purse with names of women.  Each one had corresponding “power,” like “heal,” “fire” and “can see danger.”

The rest of Maseth’s testimony rehashed much of what Trail told FBI Agents in a recorded interview from June 11, 2018.  During that interview, Trail told them he accidentally killed Sydney Loofe during a group sex act and that he cut up her body so it would fit it a trunk.  Trail also told them he and his “group” consider Clay County sacred ground and that the way they laid out Sydney’s body parts out there was so she would reincarnate quicker.

The jury also heard from a woman with the initials A.H., who says she was a member of Trail and Boswell’s group.

She described it as a cult and said Trail invited her to be one of his witches and asked her to kill someone.

She said during some sexual acts, Trail would choke her and Boswell. She says he wanted to kill one of his other witches because she was too nice. She said she eventually left the group and it was before Loofe died. She says she was afraid of Trail, but kept in touch with him.
