Deputies arrest man after finding two women slain in home north of Omaha
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A man is behind bars after two women were found dead in a home north of Omaha on Thursday.
Around 9 p.m., Douglas County deputies were called to a home near 89th Court and Newport Plaza for a welfare check.
Authorities found the bodies of Lisa Cannon, 55, and Marquesha Cannon, 30, the sheriff’s office said.
Investigators ruled the deaths as homicides, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies later found a suspect, 22-year-old Fernandez Mason, and took him into custody.
Mason was arrested on suspicion of two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of use of a weapon to commit a felony.
