Police arrest two in west Lincoln armed robbery

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two people have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery in Lincoln.

Shortly before midnight Friday, officers were sent to investigate a report of a theft near Southwest Ninth and West A streets, the Lincoln Police Department said.

When they arrived, the victims told police that they had been robbed at gunpoint.

Officers got a description of the robbers and their vehicle and were able to track them down, police said.

Shaquille Adams, 28, of Lincoln was arrested on suspicion of robbery, possession of a weapon by a prohibited person and use of a weapon to commit a felony.

Brittney Williams, 22, of Lincoln was arrested on suspicion of aiding and abetting robbery.

Law enforcement had been looking for Williams since September 2020, according to court documents.

She was wanted on misdemeanor charges of assault, property damage and failure to appear in court.

LPD said the investigation is ongoing.
