Pioneer to take over as sponsor of Nebraska-Iowa ‘Heroes Game’

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Pioneer has been selling corn and soybean seed across the Midwest for generations, and it’s now getting into pigskin.

The company announced that it’s the new sponsor of the “Heroes Game,” the annual rivalry game between the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Iowa Hawkeyes.

With the new sponsorship, Pioneer plans to honor everyday heroes in the community.

One citizen hero will be selected to represent their respective team at the game this November.

The winner will receive VIP treatment, which includes being recognized on the field and having their name inscribed on the trophy.

Nebraska and Iowa fans are encouraged to nominate people they think exemplify the characteristics of a hero.
