Two Lincoln homes reportedly struck by lightning

Lincoln Fire and Rescue responded to a report of a possible lightning strike at a southeast Lincoln home Wednesday morning.
Crews arrived at the home near South 98th and Pine Lake Road around 6:23 a.m. and found three holes in the roof.
Fire officials said there was no fire reported, but the strike caused damage to the roof, drywall and electrical wiring. No official damage estimate has been given, but officials estimate it could be thousands of dollars.
This is the second report of lightning striking a Lincoln home in two days. On Tuesday, crews responded to reports of lightning hitting a home near South 93rd and Old Cheney. The homeowner told Channel 8 Eyewitness News the strike caused minimal damage.
