Nebraska volleyball earns No. 2 ranking in Big Ten preseason poll

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Big Ten on Friday released its preseason poll, in which Nebraska volleyball is ranked second.
Conference rival Wisconsin, which won its fourth-straight Big Ten championship last year, tops the list:
- Wisconsin
- Nebraska
- Minnesota
- Penn State
- Purdue
- Ohio State
- Illinois
- Indiana
- Maryland
- Michigan
- Northwestern
- Michigan State
- Iowa
- Rutgers
The conference also released its preseason All-Big Ten team, which features Husker libero Lexi Rodriguez. She is the sole Husker on the list.
Wisconsin has the most selections on the All-Big Ten team, with four.
In about a month, Nebraska is set to play in front of over 90,000 fans at Memorial Stadium.
Country music artist Scotty McCreery will perform after the match.
In June, the University of Nebraska Board of Regents voted to approve alcohol sales at the event.
The largest crowd for any women’s sporting event in the United States was 90,185 for the 1999 World Cup final between USA and China.
