Pregnant woman shot dead in Omaha; second person wounded

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A shooting early Sunday morning killed one woman and injured a second person.

Omaha Police said the homicide occurred near 24th and Locust streets.

Officers responded to the scene after they were alerted to multiple gunshots in the area.

Police said that when they arrived, they found 30-year-old Lezah Lewis, who was suffering from gunshot wounds.

She was taken to a local hospital, where she died.

Police said she was pregnant.

Londell Stubblefield, 48, was the second victim.  He was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Police have not arrested anyone at this time. This is an ongoing investigation.
