Storm chances continue Friday into the weekend

Storm chances continue into the weekend with cooler and comfortable temperatures for the next few days.

Temperatures will stay seasonally cooler but still warm in the mid to lower 80s.

Spotty rain chances are possible early Friday, we see a brief pause in precipitation before another storm system from the west approaches the eastern half of the state in the evening.

Precipitation chances are possible throughout the day on Friday, with some periods of mostly cloudy and dry time.

The chance for strong to severe storms continues Friday. A Marginal Risk (level 1/5) is in place across the state. Strong to severe storms, damaging winds and large hail are the biggest threats at this time. The Channel 8 Storm Alert Team will continue to track this system as it arrives.

Throughout our weekend there will be various chances for storms, our best chance for the eastern half of the state will be Saturday.

A Slight Risk level (2/5) is possible throughout Saturday with strong to severe storms, large hail and damaging winds being the biggest concerns. The Storm Alert Team will continue monitoring the system as it approaches
