Man on ATV tried driving away from officers in downtown Lincoln, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man riding an ATV was caught early Sunday morning after trying to escape officers in downtown Lincoln, police say

Around 2:15 a.m., an officer near Centennial Mall and O Street saw the ATV, which was driven by a 19-year-old Lincoln man.

Police said the ATV was previously seen driving recklessly in downtown Lincoln.

The man tried driving away from the officers, but he was caught and taken into custody.

Police said it took three officers to get him off of the ATV.

He was cited on suspicion of willful reckless driving, driving during revocation, obstructing a police officer and resisting arrest.
