LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was injured Saturday in a crash with a semitrailer-truck in Gage County, the sheriff’s office says.

The crash happened around 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of Southwest 131st and Lilac roads, which is west of Beatrice.

The sheriff’s office said the semi was almost through the intersection when a Jeep struck the back of its trailer.

First responders took the driver of the Jeep to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Deputies also cited him on suspicion of failing to yield the right of way.

The pigs in the trailer were uninjured, according to the sheriff’s office.
