Two teens facing felony charges in shooting of northeast Nebraska home
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two teens are facing felony charges after they fired a gun at a home near Norfolk on Saturday.
The Stanton County Sheriff’s Office said two 14-year-old boys shot at the home near Woodland Park Elementary School four or five times.
Someone was inside the home at the time of the shooting, but they were not injured.
The sheriff’s office said the teens were charged with shooting into an occupied dwelling, use of a firearm to commit a felony and criminal mischief.
Investigators think the shooting was over a relationship with a girl, according to the sheriff’s office.
An investigation is ongoing, and the gun used in the shooting is still missing.
The sheriff’s office thinks the gun was discarded near Woodland Park Elementary School.
