Driver fled after hitting student in front of Lincoln middle school, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lincoln Police Department is searching for the driver who hit a student in front of Culler Middle School on Tuesday.

Around 7:50 a.m., a 13-year-old was in the crosswalk near Mahoney Drive and Vine Street when they were struck by a black SUV.

Police said the driver didn’t stop and continued east on Vine Street.  The student had minor injuries.

An investigation is ongoing.
