Nebraska volleyball ranked fifth in national preseason poll

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska volleyball earned the No. 5 ranking in the American Volleyball Coaches Association preseason poll on Tuesday.

The Huskers share the ranking with Pittsburgh.  Texas is at the top of the list, with Nebraska’s conference rival Wisconsin right behind at No. 2.

In total, the Big Ten has six teams ranked in the top 15: Wisconsin, Nebraska, Minnesota, Penn State, Ohio State and Purdue.

The Huskers are set to face 11 teams ranked in the preseason top 25.

Nebraska got the No. 2 spot, behind Wisconsin, in the Big Ten preseason poll.
