Lincoln chef makes it to final round of Food Network’s ‘Chopped’
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln chef got “Chopped” on Tuesday night, but she did make it to the final round of the cooking show.
Rachel McGill of DISH Restaurant appeared on the Food Network show, which pits four chefs against one another.
After each round, one person gets “chopped,” until a winner is crowned.
On Tuesday night, McGill was among a group that gathered in the Railyard to watch the episode.
McGill, a James Beard Award semifinalist, went to New York in November and spent 16 hours filming.
She said it was a great experience, though she was “overwhelmed” going up against more experienced chefs from larger cities.
“That was intimidating for sure,” she said.
