A veteran led organization is helping restore Nebraska homes

 Team Rubicon is a national organization that is veteran led and has thousands of volunteers all over the nation helping restore homes after a natural disaster.

They brought more than 120 volunteers from all over the nation from coast to coast.

Team Rubicon provides their services for free to homeowners giving them a new chance at life.

But even with their services towards these homeowners, the volunteers and military veterans say they get more out of it than anyone.

“You know a lot of people struggle when they get out of the military they don’t have that sense of teamwork and that community, it’s a pretty open world out there and when you’re here you really create bands and you’re doing something, and you’re having an impact,” Collin Woods a military veteran said.

While a lot of the volunteers are veterans they also have everyday civilians who are a part of Team Rubicon as well.
