Woman found hiding meth in fast-food bag during Lincoln traffic stop, court docs say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Lincoln woman is facing three felony drug charges after she was found with meth in a traffic stop on Thursday.

Around 9 p.m., a member of the Lincoln-Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force saw a vehicle make an illegal turn near 17th and L streets.

Later on, an officer pulled over the vehicle near 9th and N streets, according to an arrest affidavit.

During the traffic stop, officers noticed that a passenger, 57-year-old Angela Putscher, appeared to be “nervous and shaking,” the affidavit alleges.

She agreed to a search of her purse, in which officers found amphetamine and hydrocodone pills.

Putscher was asked to get out of the vehicle, and officers discovered that she was sitting on a digital scale, which had suspected meth residue, court documents say.

Investigators also found about 88 grams of meth in a fast-food bag that was between Putscher’s legs, according to the affidavit.

Putscher was charged Friday with possession of meth with intent to deliver and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

A judge set her bond at $150,000.  She will appear in court later this month.
